THE STUDIO
Africa is the Story.
We know how to tell it.Unfold Studio creates visual content for lodges, hotels, conservation organisations, travel brands, and community projects across Africa. Photography, film, and documentary storytelling - made by people who grew up here, who understand the light, the land, and what it means to witness something real.
We don't manufacture atmosphere.
We capture it.Most content is made in a hurry. A crew arrives, works through a shot list, and leaves with pictures of a place they never really saw.
We work the other way. We arrive early and stay long enough to learn how the light moves through your camp, when the elephants come down to the water, and which of your guides has the story worth telling.
Then we make images that feel the way your place feels, so the people who see them already know what it will be like to be there.
What We Create
Quietly, and with care.Photography
The hush of a tent at first light. Dust hanging gold over the plains. We photograph that feeling across your rooms and spaces, guest experiences and activities, food, guides and wildlife. A full image library that carries the true essence of your place.
Film
Some things only come alive when they move: the bush waking before sunrise, a game drive at golden hour, laughter around the fire. Short films and reels for your website and social channels, made with patience and an eye for stillness.
Documentary storytelling
Behind every place worth visiting is a story worth telling. Your conservation work, your community partnerships, the people who call this land home, told honestly, and with respect.

"Creative, reliable, and genuinely passionate about what we do."How we build a team.
Around the client, never the other way around.Unfold does not put a fixed crew on every job. We read the brief, then put the best team forward for it - sometimes one photographer, sometimes a four-person unit with drone and second camera.
01
Read the brief
What you need to be able to do with the material afterwards.
02
Match the skills
Stills, film, aerial, long-lens - only the disciplines the job actually calls for.
03
Keep it small
A small crew moves quietly and disappears around guests and animals.
