THE ARTIST
Françoise V
Photographer & storytellerFrançoise grew up in Botswana, where the bush was not scenery but home. More than twenty years in the African wilderness have shaped a body of work defined by soft palettes, clean minimalism and an obsessive attention to light and stillness.
For seven years her work hung in her own gallery at Imhoff Farm in Cape Town. Today it lives in homes, lodges and private collections across Europe and beyond, each piece a moment of profound beauty, held before it shifts.

Giving backA percentage of every Unfold Edition goes to Lessons in Conservation.
Lessons in Conservation is a youth-led non-profit, founded in 2018, that teaches children in rural communities the basics of ecology and why conservation matters. The children then go out into the wild on game drives and bush walks, so the lesson becomes something they have seen for themselves. The students who stand out are helped towards accredited conservation training, and a future in the field.
I grew up surrounded by wild Africa. Every print you take home sends a little of it back.
